About
Pocket Lane started as a shared chat between four friends who kept sending each other screenshots of games we liked on the bus. At some point we figured we might as well put the notes somewhere public instead of losing them in the thread. So here we are, writing about the stuff we download, break, and occasionally fall in love with.,We lean toward racing, arcade, and anything with fast reactions, but we review across genres because a good game is a good game. Every title on the site gets played for at least a few sessions before anyone writes a word. If a game only shines in the first ten minutes, we say so.,Choosing what to cover is pretty simple. We watch what climbs the charts, listen to reader suggestions, and sometimes just chase a trailer that looked fun. Nobody pays us to pick a game, and nothing goes up until one of us has actually sat with it on a phone, not an emulator.,The site stays small on purpose. We would rather publish one careful review a week than ten rushed ones, and we edit each other's drafts until they sound like a person talking, not a press kit.
Markus Holt — Markus has been reviewing mobile games since his first cracked-screen Android and still plays racing games with the brightness way too high. He handles most of the arcade and driving coverage.
